Finances — revenue, expenses, and profit

Portfelio tracks two sides of your money separately. Revenue is the sum of prices from your booked and completed projects, counted by their event date — so “what did I earn in March” looks at everything that happened (or is scheduled to happen) that month, not when the invoice was created. Expenses are the business costs you’ve logged — amount, category, vendor, date, and status — kept apart from project revenue so one doesn’t distort the other.

Together they give you profit: revenue minus expenses for whatever period you’re asking about.

What Lio can do: answer revenue and income questions across your whole business (“how much did I earn this year”, “what’s my expected revenue next quarter”, “how much from booked projects”), expense questions (“what did I spend on gear this month”, “show recent expenses”, “biggest expenses this quarter”), and profit questions that combine both (“what’s my profit this quarter?”). Lio reports real numbers for the period you name, in your site’s currency — by default it counts booked + completed projects; ask about “pending” or “projected” income explicitly if you want projects that aren’t booked yet included too.

This is read-only, aggregate money analytics — for a single project’s price or a single invoice’s balance, ask about that project or invoice directly instead.
